David Monaghan, 32, was killed by Bert Law, a bartender at Frank OBrien's saloon on East and Washington streets, after a quarrel with Monaghan and his brother Thomas. Law claims self defense saying Monaghan accused him of paying attention to Mrs Monaghan. Frank Fisher, claimed by Cincinnati as home, was sent to the workhouse for 20 days from police court Friday on a charge of throwing a stone that struck the 10 year old daughter of Capt Hussey chief of detectives of the Pennsylvania railroad. Hussey arrested Fisher after he entered a brewery on E Ohio street to sharpen a knife. The employer ordered him out and he threw the stone in anger, injuring the girl.
