Porterfield Dead After Short Illness At 6111 Pratt Street
Henry D. Porterfield of Ward Bros wholesale druggists died at his home 6111 Pratt Street Thursday afternoon aged 63. Ill only a few days he first felt a sensitive spot on his leg leading to erosive gas that caused his death. He leaves a wife and four children and a Cincinnati brother. A traveling salesman for 17 years he was well known in central and eastern Indiana. Born in Ohio, he had lived in Indianapolis over 30 years. He belonged to the Traveling Men’s Association and Central Avenue M. E. church. Funeral Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the home conducted by odd fellows and traveling men.
