Willet M Evans named receiver by Judge Leathers bond set at 10000. Company authorized 300000 capital, all shares issued, Reardon owns six. Stockholders owe 22800. Company assets include 2000 cash, 1000 in feed and office fixtures, and accounts receivable valued at 5.00. Company may go out of business. Mearden, company president, admitted the allegations.

Love letters in Edith May Thompson Woodill handwriting found in an isolated shack suggest her deep affection for Robert Emmet Eastman, the Los Angeles magnate who killed her and disposed of her body. Foster father Col Thompson confirms the writing, indicating a year of known association and a plea for continued bliss despite death.
Bert Williams, a negro, was convicted in criminal court on Wednesday morning of forging the name of C. P. Trask, an insurance man, to a draft and receiving the money. Judge Pritchard sentenced him to prison for from two to fourteen years.
Close to 200 cases were dismissed by Judge Remster in circuit court on the call of the docket. The dismissals covered cases with no action for over a year. Other courts also dismissed many cases on the same ground.
Jesse Fletcher disposed of real and personal property valued between 400000 and 500000 to his sister Mrs Ruth Macfarlane Pittsburg and to the children of Charles B Fletcher Eliz abeth Lillian and Jesse Fletcher all residents of Indianapolis. The Union Trust Company named executor and the will written March 22 1908. Mrs Macfarlane is wife of Pittsburg probate judge. Witnesses Helen M Bichrodt and William H Clapp.
Robert Hartmann showman is jailed ten days in Columbus Indiana while police review his past and circulate his photo and dertillion data to cities. Norma LaMalle, the Salome dancer, aided by Bicycle Policeman Mullin, helped search Hartmann's trunk for papers to justify detention.
Camp Algonac offers a Sun excursion from Union Station on July 7 via Big Four to Detroit with a 20 adult, 13.50 child rate. Row boats cost 20 cents per hour plus 10 cents for each extra hour and daily trips let families explore canal island. The funeral of William Mayer who drowned when a canoe overturned in White River was held Tuesday at Grinsteiner Brothers' on E Market. Otto Mayer’s service followed Wednesday at 626 N West St, with Masoneci Center Lodge No. 23 in charge at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Francis P Bailey a 53 year old manufacturer and vice president of L W Ott Manufacturing may enter the Democratic race for Indianapolis mayor. He has lived in the city 36 years and plans a definite announcement in a few days after consulting political friends. He previously ran for county clerk unsuccessfully and is not affiliated with any faction.
New York dispatch says Policeman Thomas B. Buroe of the Sheepshead Bay station was killed when an automobile overturned at high speed on Océan avenue. Six others were injured, one critically. The Pittsburg notes add auto accident tolls with three deaths in 12 hours.
Marie Commeratz, widow with five children, was fatally wounded in a street duel in New York City. Police have yet to identify any of the more than six men involved, and none were captured as bystanders watched the shooting on a busy street near Belle Hospital where she lies dying.
In Lima Ohio on June 30 Wilbur Heil 16 and Herman Heil 13 sons of contractor Val Heil were electrocuted while shaking a street arc lamp that failed to burn. A blue flame sprang from their bodies and both died after the current was shut off.
