Bloody Farm Tragedy Ends in Double Fatal Clash

In Flackville a farmyard murder erupted during a quarrel between two farm hands Perry and McLain. Perry stabbed McLain with a knife after a pitchfork clash, McLain died at the barn. Perry was arrested as neighbors watched the grisly scene and police prepared for grand jury action.

Southport Man Thomas Bowen Dies Suddenly at Night

Thomas Bowen of Southport died Friday night at 10 from heart failure after forty years of marriage. He was a widower with two adopted children. The funeral is set for Monday with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery. Jno. M. Lilly handled arrangements.
