FIENDS CAUSE A BAD WRECK ON THE BIG FOUR
A deliberate derailment wreck on the Big Four Chicago and Cincinnati express No 34 at Thorn Town Indiana killed engineer P Winslow and fireman J A Crickmore and two tramps. Winslow of Greensburg leaves a widow. Crickmore of Indianapolis leaves a widow and child. The wreck halted the eastbound train about 2 18 Friday morning. Local officials and residents aided the injured and recovered bodies, with investigations detailing a tightly driven coupling pin at the frog. The two surviving victims were identified as Phebe and Cavenir of Cleveland who were aboard the mail car and severely injured. The cause and perpetrators remain unknown as authorities investigate the deliberate act.
