C. C. Koerner, 61, manager of the Fidelity Mutual Accident Association’s Indiana branch, died after a Monon switch engine struck his buggy at Ninth and Alvord streets Friday night. The local missionary alliance convention closed at Second Presbyterian on Friday night with addresses by Rev. Dean Peck of Denver and D. W. Selachner. Selachner stated costs to keep American missionaries in China at 8300 per year, native workers at 60 and 36.
