Simeon Middleton a 55 year old Black man and street sweeper for Marion County Construction Co was struck and badly cut across the face when a Central avenue car struck him at Michigan and Alabama streets about 8 30 Friday He lay unconscious with a gash down his head as doctors at City dispensary fought to stop bleeding and keep him breathing during life threatening injuries.
