Charles A. Moore, posing as a Moore & Co. wholesale dealer from Newark, was arrested on Maryland Street after detectives found 100 blank checks from Sussex County National Bank hidden on him. Moore claimed to be a machinist named Marfield and said the case stems from family trouble while he planned a Chicago branch.
