Washington Aug 13 Word was received from Commander McLean of the Cincinnati that his vessel, following Navy Department orders, left Puerto Cabello for Barcelona and Guanta. Dispatches say revolutionists sacked the city and the commander will land marines to protect remaining American property as the consulate is reported pillaged.
Harley Ryan and Charles Wilson, drivers for Bird Transfer Co, fought in front of John H. Lueth's home at 1001 S West St during Mrs Lueth's funeral. Undertaker Krieger notes Ryan was intoxicated and sought a substitute from the transfer firm. Wilson was sent to the scene. the scuffle delayed the funeral 45 minutes and both men were arrested. The carriages were supplied by Bird Transfer Co and not Adams Krieger undertakers.
Mrs. James Sanders a singer and dancer from Sheridan Indiana died in a lodging room at 106 S Illinois Street from morphine poisoning. Her husband of three weeks, an Indianapolis resident, claimed she threatened to poison herself after a quarrel. He said he earlier removed morphine from her pocketbook. The couple married in Memphis after meeting while she sang in a park. Mrs Sanders was 20, and had known her husband for 16 months.
A New York telegram reports President Ingalls and General Manager Schaff of the Big Four negotiating for the Chicago and Southeastern Midland. The line runs from Muncie through Anderson Noblesville and Lebanon to Brazil and serves a coal country feeder. Owned by Harry Crawford of Chicago.

New York August 13 It is understood the United States Shipbuilding Co is now in full possession of the Bethlehem Steel Co and will begin to operate the steel armor and gun plant. Charles M Schwab is reported to profit heavily from the deal receiving securities par value 26 million dollars for property Schwab paid 7.5 million cash yielding about 12.5 million dollars in profit.
Trenton New Jersey August 13 the International Harvester Company with a capital of 120 million dollars was incorporated to manufacture harvesting machines and farm implements. It is linked to the McCormick reaper and mower interests. Incorporators include Abram Hyatt George Hedard Rowland Dennis Edward Miller Robert Green and Erastus Cravath. A Milwaukee sale to an eastern syndicate for 5 million cash is reported. Harold McCormick and Cyrus McCormick in New York refuse to confirm or deny entry into the syndicate.
Will T. Spaeth leaves the Forepaugh Sells circus to stage a new show titled A Run for Her Money at popular priced theaters. The farce comedy features a grand, sparkling description from a circus press agent praising its purity, life, action and entertainment value.
Wm Bartholin, alleged Chicago murderer, spent Monday night in Joplin Missouri with a companion thought to be Harry Church formerly at the Bartholin home. Identification is positive and both men left before daylight and have not been seen since.
Frank W. Flanner of Flanner and Buchanan funeral directors reports crude acts by transfer company hack drivers at a recent funeral on S West Street near Chesapeake Street. He cites a driver wearing a woman's skirt and performing a "hoodoochie" dance and others falling asleep during the procession on N Capitol Avenue. He notes such incidents draw crowds and occur frequently.
The State Tax Board listened to a unique appeal from Washington Indiana Wednesday involving Mrs Julia Lucas of Daviess County. Her property was assessed due to alleged tax evasion by converting a farm sale proceeds into government 2 percent bonds. She then bought another farm two days later.
Judge Caron denied the U S government motion to dismiss writs of habeas corpus in the Gaynor and Greene cases. The ruling allows the defendants to go free temporarily and effectively voids the attempt to bring Gaynor and Greene before a Montreal court. Extradition proceedings remain pending.

He claimed involvement in a house project with Mayor Charlie Bookwalter and said another man ran off with the money, but authorities found nothing to file.
At Sagamore Hill on Wednesday morning an official said the president does not yet know if he will call an extra session of the Senate to consider the reciprocity treaty with Cuba.

In LaPorte Indiana on August 13 a jail delivery attempt by inmates Pete Sobesky George Henry and two others was stopped by Turnkey Winne after an early discovery. The men had bored a deep hole in the brick wall and planned a second night to escape.
Dennis Murphy, a former employee of a cistern repair contractor, accuses city officials of corruption. Mayor Bookwalter and the Boards of Safety and Works, the controller, and the city engineer met Murphy after he sent a letter alleging contractors are defrauding the city. Murphy seeks legal counsel and time to assemble witnesses, with a Thursday 9 a.m. deadline proposed.
