Logansport Ind April 28 An unidentified holdup man was killed and Patrolman Joseph Kroeger fatally wounded here after midnight in a desperate gun battle between Kroeger and two highwaymen.

Patrolman Kroeger wounds one robber, is shot and mortally wounded, naming his wife and baby as he drags to a restaurant.
