Joseph Walker of Brownebursg Indiana testified in police court that his daughter Bertha, 2 years old, in love with a married man, was arrested after the raid on Florence Torrence’s home at 866 N New Jersey street. Bertha Walker faced charges with a fine of 10 plus costs for others cited in the raid.
Chicago reports Frank Howell known as the Hoosier Kid and Gregory Straubesner held for removal to Fillmore New York for burglary of the Fillmore post office. Charged with robbing the post office of $600 along with John Mack and Robert St. Clair.
A burlesque show in the city leads to a police court dispute as chorus girl Violet Davis accuses stage manager James Collins of using language unfit for a lady after he fined him. Davis says she objects to Salome dancing and carries a notice to protest. Collins allegedly began abusing her. witnesses saw an argument behind the scenes.
Judge Remster hears the divorce case of Willem K. De Witt a wealthy Indianapolis baker. De Witt alleges his wife Norman E. Carter represents her and accuses her of name calling striking him and shifting affection to her son. He claims she sought to have him deed property to the son and to have him declared insane. He says she started insanity proceedings but he was found sane by two experts.
Juvenile court judge Stubbs Friday ordered Frank Gale to the workhouse for 90 days and imposed a $250 fine for neglecting his Ohio area duties.
