Sunday afternoon at the Brighton beach ball park the grand stand sank after swaying. Fifteen year old John Cline of 576 Armstrong street suffered both bones in his right leg broken while Charles Hensley, also of Armstrong street, sprained his back. About 200 spectators watched as the structure fell. Cline was rescued under timbers and taken to City hospital, Hensley was freed and sent home. The Outing and R. R. Miles clubs played on, Miles winning 19 to 14.
