Springfield Ohio April 10 Dwight L Wing once president of the St Louis and Chicago railroad and builder of the Rock Island Peoria and St Louis road faces arrest in Paris on swindling charges. Congressman Connolly defends Wing saying the railroad ties are bona fide and that rivals engineered the arrest to damage his position. Wing’s backers expect the charges to fail.
Charles Norwood of Indianapolis claimed Tom Ford struck him after a dispute over a mixer as Norwood attempted to turn on gas at Ford’s new residence. Ford pleaded guilty in Squire Johnson's court, and Judge Stubbs referred the case to that court after initial hesitation in police court.
