Doctor testifies on bullet hole origin in case at hand
Dr. A. Lewis Hall described tests questioning if the hole in a black and white shirt could be from a bullet. He noted no burns or discoloration, suggested a pipe spark might cause the mark, and testified firing a 22 caliber Remington with the muzzle on his hand left no flesh stains. He contradicted Dr. Hamilton’s theory and described hanging the rifle as it hung in the pantry. District Attorney Gilbert could not refute Hall. Harry K. Summerlin, hardware merchant, testified to cartridge purchases for the defense tests.
