Testimony in Sarratt Trial Concludes For Saturday Session

In Washington on Saturday June 22 Mrs Martha Murray wife of the keeper of the Fern Don House testified about Payne and did not know William D Ilon. F W Seward testified on the attempt on Secretary Sewards life and Frederick Seward and Colonel A E Seward gave similar testimony. James L Maddox spoke on facts connected with Booths assassination and George W Robinson on Payne assault on Seward. J W Pyles testified about a prior conversation with Surratt regarding avoiding the draft and possible voyage to Canada. After recess a motion to recall witnesses for cross examination was argued and the court adjourned until Monday morning.
