Cattle Market Prices and Weekly Receipts Across Markets

Current prices show first quality cattle at around 17 per head with varied values for common and inferior classes. Second Pittsburgh poisoning case ends in arrests

A Pittsburgh case reports the death of John Nevin in Mount Washington after his wife Mary Nevin and two associates are arrested on murder warrants. Nevin fell ill last September and died October 14 after doctors failed to save him. Mayor Lowry heard accusations from Mrs. Margaret Avery prompting the arrests.
