Mr and Mrs Jacob Buterlaugh of Green township marked their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday September 3 1996. The couple have 12 children 11 daughters and one son and 22 grandchildren. Bells Reunion Draws 300 At John Bell Farm In West Mahoning
The fifth annual Bells reunion gathered about 300 people at John Bell’s farm in West Mahoning township with neighbors from Jefferson and Clearfield counties. A noon feast, choir songs, speeches by J T Bell and Rev C L Streamer, poems, recitations, and several young performers followed a welcome from J T Bell. officers elected included James Speedy as president and McKee Davis as secretary. Thieves strike McKee’s Tun near Creekside taking spoils
Thieves visited Faith Brothers coal bank stealing three picks then hit Kinghorn bank taking about 20 pounds of powder a shovel hammer wedge and square from the shanty. A bay mare belonging to John Ray was stolen from the Kinghorn barn along with buggy harness horse blankets and Mrs Henry Mitchell's washing from the line. The mare was later found between this place and Twolick but the culprits remained at large with a strong clue noted.

Train Kills Brakeman Daniel Wilhelm at Derry
Daniel Wilhelm a well known White township resident and son of Mrs Mary Wilhelm was struck and killed by a freight train at Derry on Saturday evening. He served as a brakeman on the freight train and was on duty at the time. His mother received a telegram announcing his death on Sunday and visited Derry Monday for the interment. He was married and leaves a wife.

Indiana Home Robbed Near Town After Weekend Breakin
About nine o clock Saturday evening thieves entered the home of Robert Sanford south of town and carried off about 25 dollars hidden in a box. The loss includes old coins and several two dollar fifty cent gold pieces. The house was left unlocked and the robbers searched the premises without disturbance. No clues exist though Sanford suspects local neighbors.
