New American House Reopens With Modern Additions
The New American House near the county seat reopens tomorrow after a major renovation. It now stands five stories tall with over 100 guest rooms and an elevator to all floors. J. W. Lollay of Donora is the new landlord with M. A. McGinnis as clerk. Dr. W. Rink has moved into a new home on Mast Church street and Samuel Felton, 68, of Clyde, shows remarkable gun skill by shooting four grey squirrels, three red squirrels, and a pheasant. Indiana Fire Association to hold its regular monthly meeting Friday at 7:30 to nominate officers for December.

The Laur al Gas Company formed by Indiana county men reports the largest U S gas well, brought in Monday while oil drilling in Indian Territory. The family of Mr. and Mrs. Harry White of Lindsey suffers four child deaths from diphtheria within a week. A son Merle is critically ill with pneumonia at his grandparents’ home. Diphtheria claimed Wthel age 15 and Irene age nine on one Wednesday. Other ill children have recovered, and a relief purse was raised locally.
