Lovejoy Man Hurt in Court House Fall
Alfred Goodlin of Lovejoy Green township suffered a serious brain concussion after misstepping and falling head first down a basement stair in the Court House. He was taken to the Indiana hospital in serious condition. The report also notes a WGTU gathering in Ambrose and a typhoid outbreak at Penn Run with several residents affected. A separate incident describes 17-year-old John McNeil found hauling a wheelbarrow full of brick on South Twelfth Street, later deemed to be in a stupor.

Modern Concrete Bridges in Indiana County
Two of the United States most modern reinforced concrete bridges were built in Indiana County over the past year. A 40 foot clear span bridge over Little Yellow Creek in Brushvalley town ship and another over Gush Creek in Montgomery township were completed this summer. A 203 foot clear span bridge at McCormick's in Blacklick township is under construction with heavy reinforcement. Plans were by Thomas Pealer, Indiana borough engineer, and Ferro-Concrete Company of Harrisburg built the two completed bridges and is working on the McCormick's structure.

New Train Service Starts Between Vintendale and Colver
Regular timetable begins Monday on the Cambria and Indiana line. The debut trip departs Vintendale at 7:30, arrives Colver 9:30, Pine Flats 11:21, with connections to Cherry Tree and Dixonville. Two Men Buried After Coal Mine Fall In Chambersville
A mining accident in Chambersville left two men dead when a fall trapped them under coal. Andy Pedasky aged about 30 and Constantine, a married father of several children, perished as rock and debris blocked the shaft. Their bodies were recovered by rescuers and prepared for interment after funeral rites.
