Fragmented courtroom quips and social zingers from a gossip page
A string of titled quips and sly remarks appears from a social column. A lawyer questions a witness while a cook and others contribute jests about babies, servants, and weddings. The exchange hints at everyday life with humor and half hints of dysfunction.
