Local Notes From Garfield District Daily Life

Mr and Mrs A J Royle returned from Denver after visiting relatives. Visitors dropped by James McMiner home near Brushvalley. Archie Gamble spent the weekend with his family. Mrs George Adams of Vandercoft visited Rhinehart home. Miss Margaret Robinson of Bolivar returned to work after a two week vacation. Jack Snyder and family from Vandergrift and Mrs Claypool from Kittanning were weekend visitors. Mr Black suffered a paralytic stroke while visiting Mattsville and returned home. Rhinehart hosted visitors. Adam Kunkle’s family traveled via Washington DC en route to Virginia. Virgil Palmer and family moved from Akron into Garfield Smokeless Coal Company housing. Joseph Higgins underwent another operation at home. sister Mary Bennett visited. William A Lear improved after illness. Henry Yount of Kittanning died. wife Nancy Yount is sister to John Foster. John and Mrs Lear announced birth of a daughter. Suttons visited nephew in Sheloca. Forrest Walbeck injured in mine accident. New cement road at West Parrfield to open with parade. Water from well turned violet. Montgomery to have it analyzed.

Rev and Mrs W C Work of Scotdale visited the old home. S J Mulberger of Home and Mrs Jennie McCreight wed in Kittanning. N H Wetzel and wife visited his mother here. David McManus and wife from Youngstown Ohio were guests. Rev Sid and Mrs C A Waltman spent time at Klimer. The M H Congregation hosted a reception for Rev and Mrs L Moore. ROSSMOYNE Margaret Johnston returned home after visiting Miss Daisy Brawer. Mr and Mrs D G Frante entertained their club. large attendance. Mr and Mrs D C Wells and C J Good visited C F Cribbs family at Parnassus. Mr and Mrs T H Frants visited Arthur Reed and family at Rural Valley. O A Good of Dubola visited Friday. In labor-saving times, who will invent a note that renews itself.
