William R Black, of Co G 67th Pa Vols, died in Buffalo New York on Monday October. He enlisted October 9 1862 at age 19. He was a POW from June 15 to July 25 1863 and lost a leg at Sailor's Creek Virginia near war’s end. He later read law, practiced in Indiana county and held offices including Register and Clerk of the Orphans Court. Survived by his wife and two daughters. General Harry White praised his bravery.

Narrow escape as buggy plunges from bank

John Hogan aged about 65 dies suddenly from heart trouble while grooming his horse on Friday morning leaving a widow and four children in reduced circumstances.
