Blairsville Man Ends Life In Despondent Suicide
William H. Stitt a Civil War veteran and Blairsville resident died by suicide early Saturday. He had worried over business affairs and ill health, slashed his wrist, then hanged himself in the cellar after his son found him. He leaves a widow and several children.

Dynamite plot led to 10 to 25 year term and fine
George Garrick, about 53, pleaded guilty to attempting to dynamite Yard Foreman Thomas Doherty’s Grace ton home. Judge Telford sentenced him to 26 dollars plus costs and 10 to 25 years in the Western Penitentiary. Garrick began serving yesterday. Joe Bukosky, Graceton, remains jailed and will be tried in December. Civil court term closed with a verdict awarding 550 dollars to George C. Hilty against Saltsburg Coal Mining for alleged surface damage.

A Republican rally at Blairsville Friday evening will be aided by a special Indiana train departing at 6 30 pm and stopping at Homer City Graceton and Blacklick to bring delegates from Indiana and nearby counties. Six hurt in two auto accidents on Jacksonville Road
Heavy dust clouds from a third vehicle caused a collision near the Lowry schoolhouse on Jacksonville Road Monday evening. Four Newrytown men in one car and TL B Brown of Oak Street in another were involved. Parson and Shirley sustained injuries, and Brown suffered a deep wrist gash. Crider escaped uninjured. Parishioners were transported to the Indiana hospital for treatment.
