Three conventions in Indiana county this week open
Three large Christian conventions will convene in Indiana county this week. The Indiana Baptist Association meets in Wintondale Baptist church with a full program for women and missionary work. The Indiana County Christian Endeavor Union holds its twenty third annual convention in Homer City Lutheran church with sessions, addresses, and devotional services.

Accident Shatters Coons and Injures Hunter near Glen Campbell
John Mumau of near Glen Campbell was accidentally shot during a coon hunt on September 20 when a revolver fired by Lynk Gardner struck his hip. Mumau was taken to Clearfield hospital for treatment as excitement followed the coon capture. Survivors of the Seventh Pennsylvania Reserve gathered at Blairsville on Thursday with ten companies present, lunch served, and addresses by Revs J N Sipe Burgos M Brown and J T Pener. Aged woman Kidney Thompson, 82, was struck by a creekside streetcar near Waller station while crossing the track and slightly injured. G S Lydie and son Bruce visited W M Lydie and family over Sunday. Mrs M J Montgomery of Robinsoe nee year was there to transfer a deed.

Coal Prices Drive Big Investment in Cambria County
The Manor Real Estate Company of Philadelphia, acting for the Pennsylvania Railroad, is purchasing 2000 acres of coal in northwestern Cambria and Pine townships. Last week Robert H. Young, agent for the heirs of Dr Brallier, collected 49000 for estate coal. Other Pine residents paid include A. A. Bennett 209 acres 20961.50 dollars, Mrs. Mary E Allen 209 acres 32145.69 dollars, Mrs. Rebecca Roberts 59 acres 6463.38 dollars. The Manor Company competes with Ebensburg Coal Company in the same coal region.

Mr and Mrs John Mumau of near Purchase Line observed their golden wedding on Thursday Sept 26 1912. He born in Westmoreland County, she formerly Rachel Ta Buterbaugh.
