Auto accident claims Swissvale youth near Congruity
Lorenzo Jones, 18, of Sears, a member of a Swissvale hunting party, died after a hill descent crash near Congruity when a wheel broke and the car sped downhill. Herman Scholze was severely injured. Jones died after attempting to revive him. Several others, including Delbert Scholze and two Wagner brothers, escaped with injuries. An unrelated street accident in Locust Street and Wayne Avenue left Miss Hila Zoller of Pittsburgh lightly injured as she crossed with a companion. Zoller, a student at Indiana Normal School, was treated at Simpson Neal hospital then returned home with her father. Another incident reported a timber worker near Southern Pines, N.C., was injured when a falling limb struck him, causing a gash but not serious.
