Ki dlana and Elderton marked graves and held ceremonies with parades and gatherings. Addresses were delivered by local figures, with veterans and Sons of Veterans active in services at multiple churches and courthouses countywide.

Also note Miller Bros 101 Ranch Wild West show scheduled to exhibit in Indiana on Friday June 14.
The annual Young People's Alliance evangelical convention of Pittsburgh Gonternee opens at the Marchand church this evening with Rev. W. H. McLaughlin delivering the opening sermon. The program includes devotional sessions, addresses, and committee reports through Saturday, leading to Sunday services by Rev. G. Heinmiller.
The Pittsburg Synod Classis meets at St. Jacob's Reformed Church in South Bend with a full program from Thursday to Sunday. Sessions include addresses on foreign and home missions, catechetical instruction, Christian Endeavor, and country church issues, plus Holy Communion and altar services.
Impressive farewell services marked Twolick Baptist church in its final Sunday before tearing down the historic building and relocating the congregation to Dixonville. Organized in 1824 and with the original church erected in 1866, the congregation has long served the county. Rev. James McPhail led the ceremonies with help from fellow ministers.
Swing-out exercises were held Saturday by the senior class of the Normal School with 179 prospective graduates in caps and gowns. After chapel, seniors marched through town in a procession and afternoon drills and dances were held on campus. A report notes changes in ownership of the Indiana Publishing Company, publisher of the Indiana Daily and Weekly Gazette, amid talk of new political alignment. Marion Center topped Gaibleton 18 to 4 at Kellysburg with Hart Wood and Stugler assisting for Marion Center.
A long list of residents and visitors to Indiana including H J Gorman from Gipsy and Dr W B Aneley of Salisbury, with meetings in town on Friday and midweek. Notable mentions include Attorney Alex Mabon Pittsburg, Squire J W Smith Rossiter, and Congressman J N Langham returning from Washington. Also notes on Dr Frank Widdowson and Mrs Ney Prothero visiting relatives, plus local moves, births, and a 35th wedding anniversary for Mr and Mrs Frank H Learn.
A district Sabbath School convention met at Union church in Glen Campbell over two days with eighty seven delegates plus officers and teachers from 32 schools. President Mahaffey led a program, many speakers praised progress, and front line school awards were presented. A second district meeting at Blairsville elected officers for Indiana County Sabbath School Association.
A blaze at a mill and adjoining warehouse in Marion Center caused about 10 000 dollars damage. Frank Wert and John Rice owned West & Rice and operated the mill. Insurance covered 4 000 on the mill and 1 000 on the stock. The fire left the structure and warehouse destroyed and the firm’s chief local industry gone.
GOO WATE FOR CLYMEL P J McGovern of town has been awarded a contract for building a large concrete reservoir for the Cit izena Water Company of Clymer. It will be 50x40 feet, 15 feet deep and hold 200000 gallons. Water supply will come from three springs bought by the company recently.
Rev J C Burnaworth delivered a memorial sermon at the U A IL in Blairsville praising fallen heroes. Rev J Day Brownlee of Most United Presbyterian will speak Sunday on Civil War experiences, reflecting his own wounds and service.
Three Jowart brothers and a companion died in a Sagamore livery stable fire. The second floor sleeping room above the stable burned quickly after the alarm at 4:00 AM. One boy on the first floor tried to aid them but was driven out by smoke and flames. Funeral services were held Sunday and interment followed at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. The fire destroyed the stable, livestock, and equipment, with losses near $2,000.
Weddings cover multiple couples across Armstrong township Homer City Blairsville and Punxsutawney with detailed names including A Werk Thomas Wissinger Blanche Wis singer Clair Snyder Millie Nodgeu Elsworth Gibgon Michel Spence Taylor W Craig Konebeth Millen and Beatrice Davis. The Indiana and Elderton baseball games ended with Indiana 6 Elder ton 2 and Elderton 9 to 2 while a collision left players with facial gashes. Also noted are car purchases by Drs Rink and Griffith and a robbery at Wehrum post office netting about $17 plus stamps.
Miss Susan Millhouser of Blairsville died of heart trouble during memorial services in the United Presbyterian church. The 45 year old organist had served locally as a teacher and church musician. The service drew Civil War veterans and the Tenth regiment, N. G. B. under Capt. George J. McCune. Interment followed in Howe cemetery, Cherryhill Township. Other notices included deaths of Jacob A. Lydick and James Anderson, both long-time residents. Mrs. Forest Lowman. Grayce L. Crawford. and James J. Adams.
The annual fair opens August 29 to September 1 with added races in the speed program including 2:20 pace and 2:24 trot. An exhibit of grains fruits and soils from State College will be a free feature alongside other attractions. Community events include a surprise visit to Mr and Mrs Hall near Atwood and the opening of Madera Park near Blaireville between Blaireville and Cokeville.
