A local real estate deal closes with George W Wheeler Lewis A Wheeler and Robert Milliken purchasing the Joseph Bath farm south of Indiana for 20 000 to be divided into town lots. The plot along Armagh road will hold 93 acres for lots after excluding a central hill. 300 lots sized 40 by 150 feet are planned with streets graded and lined with shade trees. Possession begins within 60 days on portions near town then next April for rest. A land improvement company will be formed pending charter approval.

Trenton Man Killed by West Penn Train
Ed Nichols of Trenton New Jersey was killed by a freight train on the West Penn Railway just above Bruce in this county on Thursday. The body was mangled with limbs severed. Remains were taken to Bolivar. Coroner M M Davis notified and Squire J W Huston deputized for the inquest. The jury found accidental death and burial occurred in Bolivar cemetery. Nichols was about 50 years old and weighed about 180 pounds.

Incendiary Fire Threatens Industrial Home for Girls
A fourth small fire at the Industrial Home for Girls on South Eleventh Street was discovered under a rear porch last Friday between 8 and 9 PM. James A McNeel of town died at his home on east Philadelphia Street Wednesday evening aged 64. He had suffered paralysis after a long illness and was nearly invalid for more than three years. He once worked in the furniture and undertaking business with A N Apple and later ran his own shop. He leaves his wife one brother and one sister in town.
