Rev. Elmer E. Hall of Philadelphia was formally installed as pastor of East Mahoning Baptist Church on Thursday in a largely attended service. The day featured sermons by Rev. Dr. A. J. Furman of town and Rev. D. P. French of Plainville, with Rev. B. Dunmire of Homer City delivering the charge. Mrs. J. D. Spicher of Hillsdale represented Fairview church and extended fellowship to the pastor's wife as both East Mahoning and Fairview have been pastorless. Dinner and supper were served at the church, marking a day of rejoicing.

County Institute Managers Schedule Meeting for Institutes
The County Board of Farmers Institute Managers will meet on Tuesday, June 10, with county commissioners to select institute sites for the season. The board includes local State Board of Agriculture members and one representative from each county agricultural society, the Pomona Grange, and County Alliance. If unable to attend, send a letter with your site request to E. M. McHenry, Indiana Pa, chairman, care of county commissioners. Attendance is urged as site choices are made at this meeting. Counterfeit Box Found Near Dixonville Farm
A box unearthed in a garden lot on the Miller Black farm near Dixonville contained 951 in counterfeit silver and gold coins. The hoard included silver dollars, half dollars, and quarters, with a 20 and a 10 dollar gold coin, latest date 1860, plus moulds for silver dollars. George and Henry Black discovered the box, likely hidden years ago to shield the counterfeiter. authorities had previously broken up a related ring in the area.

Remains Brought Home After Tragic Death in Ohio
The remains of Annie Gribbs, who died by her own hand in Bellaire Ohio, were brought to Homer City and interred in the local cemetery on Saturday. Her body was found in the river after death had occurred. The unfortunate woman formerly resided at Homer City.

On Thursday Indiana County Coal Company and Consolidated Coal and Iron Company received charters. Adrian Iselin and L W Robinson lead incorporators linked to Rochester & Pittsburg Coal and Iron Company and the Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburg Railway. The plan transfers coal lands to the new firms to comply with acreage limits, enabling a major coal industry build out. Over 70 men work this week on grading the Buffalo Recheater and Pittsburg railroad between Cloe station and McKeen Mills. Bonds filed and approved by the Court grant rights of way through several properties including Sevilla Work, Solomon F Lightcap, and B C Rochester. Each Rochester and Lightcap bond is 3000 dollars while the Work property bond is 1500 dollars. Sureties are D C Leasure and N C Simpson. Work to proceed rapidly with anticipated extension to Indians within weeks.
