J A G Ruffner sues Dixmont Hospital for the Insane and superintendent Henry Hutchinson for $50,000 claiming wrongful confinement from June 1908 to August 1911 after arrest in Swiesvale. Fifty Years of Wedded Life Golden Anniversary Celebrated
Relatives and friends gathered at North Point home of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. McHenry to honor their golden wedding. More than seventy guests attended under a large lawn tent as an elaborate dinner was served. Mrs. Martha McKallip and Mrs. Margaret Crossman, wedding guests fifty years ago, were present. Addresses were by Revs. Anna Cheatam and W. V. McLean. The couple received many gifts including $30 in gold coin.

For Old Eli Presented by Normal Students
Brodelphian Literary Society of the Normal school presented the four act comedy For Old Eli under Miss Susan Appre gate. Voters in Blairsville approved a $60,000 bond to build and equip a modern Third Ward school, winning by 57 votes. A June 20 special election will seek approval to raise borough indebtedness to $50,000 for future street grading curbing and related costs. Ogden Promoted to General Freight Agent at Pennsylvania
George D. Ogden, son of Mrs. N. H. Ogden of Homer City, was named general freight agent of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company during a board of directors reorganization on Wednesday. Ogden, who began at the bottom and rose through the ranks, earned the promotion through industry and business acumen. The paper notes added trolley service by the Ligonier County Street Railways Company, with an extra car from Homer City to Indiana on Saturdays at 6:12 p.m. to handle increasing traffic and serve the public.
