Clymer’s Bright Future and Building Boom in Coal Town
At the Dixon Run Land Company annual meeting in Philadelphia the board of directors for the year was elected: B E W Rossiter Rembrandt Peale R A Shillingford William D Kelly and John S Fisher. The company opened its lot at Clymer Cherryhill township last October selling over 160 lots and has erected 100 dwellings with plans for 100 more. Planned improvements include streets bridges sewers and utilities with a modern station hotel and housing for business enterprises. Coal company office building and electric light water plants are among promised enhancements this summer.

Town council approved ordinances to pave Philadelphia Street from Sixth to Seventh Church Street from Sixth to Eleventh and Sixth Street from Philadelphia to Chestnut despite protests. Strike siluation improves as miners return to work
The miners in the Ernest and Iselin fields resume work after a strike setback. At Scranton the antlracite miners convention accepted the Strike Commission award for a new three year term. A local incident on Church Street led to arrests and fines. A large coal deed was filed transferring 1700 acres in Blacklick township at 50 per acre. Lucky Strike For Local Men In Oil Field
Laural Oil and Gas Company, mainly Indiana men, struck an oil well in Indian Territory producing 500 barrels daily. This is the second well for the company with plans for more. Notables include J P Elkin Joseph W Clements and Harry Wilson of town and Harry B E and Joseph O Clark of Glen Campbell. J P Lytle of Chambersville was badly injured in a runaway accident while driving a colt. Bert Lytle aided his father home and a physician was summoned. another son, Jesse Lytle, was called but returned, reporting his father is recovering. John Bogan a mine laborer near Clymer was seriously injured by a delayed dynamite blast. his shoulders were broken and he was hospitalized. Howard, Henderson Howard formerly of this place, sustained injuries in the western earthquake. he was a student at Leland Stanford University and among the injured in the university destruction. Parents are Kurt Collins, Col. Miss Bertha Baylor of Church Street, Miss Jeggie Vleming visited friends and will entertain a company of young friends at Hauxhursts this evening.

German Baptist Brethren District Meeting at Penn Run
The annual district meeting of the German Baptist Brethren church including Fayette Westmoreland Somerset Armstrong Clearfield Jefferson and Indiana counties is in session at Penn Run. The meeting convened yesterday and closes this evening with business and program discussions. About 60 delegates and elders are in attendance.

Death Ends Active Life Founder of Cramer enterprises
Joseph Cramer a leading businessman in the southern part of the county died at his home at Cramer after a five year illness. Born in New Jersey in 1829 he moved with his family through Pennsylvania and Virginia before settling at Cranes. He built charcoal and lumber operations, ran a mercantile business and developed coal mines at Cramer. He helped establish the M E church at Cramer and mentored local growth. Survived by wife and ten children. funeral held at his home with Methodist ministers officiating. Interment in Armagh cemetery.
