A government observation balloon landed in Blacklick Creek near Heshbon on Monday evening about 4:00. The pilot, identified as F. G. Keangen, is missing with no information on his whereabouts. Sheriff H. A. Boggs retrieved the balloon, which toured in front of the Court House. The craft likely came from an Ohio training camp. Also, Indiana lodge Masons unveiled a service flag for fifteen members in service, with remarks by J. Elder Peeler and a male quartet performance. Each service member will receive a sterling silver identification disk.
