Salem church marks fifty years of worship and service

More than 300 members and friends gathered near Willet Washington township on a sunny Wednesday to celebrate Salem churchs 50th anniversary. The event featured a noon dinner, old hymns, greetings from former pastors and nearby congregations, and a brief church history noting 62 years since the original class was formed and a 50 year capstone to build the church. Members who worshipped for over 35 years were recognized, and former members attended, with tributes highlighting the churchs long community impact and a final singing of God Be With You Till We Meet Again.
