Florida wintering view contrasts with Pennsylvania fields
Harry S. Wynkoop of Marion Center writes from Tampa for The Progress praising Florida climate and scenery yet declaring Pennsylvania’s fertile fields and wooded hills look better from a Florida background. He notes sandy land, swamp tracts, ample lakes, and poor cattle and hogs, with citrus and vegetables as main crops, fertilizer use, low real estate costs, cheap living, and cement main roads, planning to return to Pennsylvania by mid February.
