Lost leg in trolley accident in Philadelphia
Walter McHenry a 23 year old student from Marion Center and brother of Dr. R F McHenry of Heilwood was injured near the Veterinary Hospital when he slipped while attempting to board a street car. He sustained severe internal injuries and had his left leg amputated at once. He is a Veterinary Department student at the University of Pennsylvania and was rushed to hospital with fellow students assisting. His brother was summoned from New York to aid at the scene.

Engineer Jacoby Scalded In Locomotive Explosion
J Leroy Jacoby of town suffered burns when a crown sheet failed and the boiler exploded on a locomotive he was operating near Allegripus ten miles west of Altoona. His fireman and two brakemen were also scorched. all were taken to Altoona Hospital in non dangerous condition. Jacoby formerly lived here. His wife is Edward Sweeny’s daughter.

Fight Ends in Murder Over Drunken Dispute Near Robinson
In Robinson County a drunken fight Sunday night left Gregg Decker dead after Harry Shaffer shot him with a 88 caliber revolver. Shaffer, in custody, surrendered to Constable Gamble after an initial attempt to flee. Decker, about 50, leaves seven dependent children. Shaffer, 45, a recent night watchman, faced an inquest with Coroner Gates and Detective Neal.
