Fool and His Toadskins Bunko Plot Ends in Disappointment

A Waterbury foreman and a stranger posing as Mr Chase visited a farmer’s land to inspect a farm. A third man with a tin box claimed to sell mining securities and produce money. Cards betrayed the trick, a bet failed, and the so called Chase departed, taking the farmer’s horse toward Cornwall Bridge. The con likely shifts elsewhere. the bank deposit plan, if any, remains unknown.
