Death from a splinter infection in Cherry Tree widow Mrs Sarah Cook
Mrs Sarah Cook of Cherry Tree died after a splinter infection developed into blood poisoning following a minor injury. She was hospitalized at Spangler hospital and died mid morning on Wednesday. Funeral services were held Saturday with burial at Cherry Tree. She was the widow of John Cook and is survived by two sons. Captain John Kinter, a Rayne township resident and Civil War veteran, died suddenly at his Kintersburg home from heart trouble.
