Farmers' Bank plans big stock increase to lead county
At a Friday board meeting the Farmers' Bank of Indiana voted to raise capital from 100000 to 225000 dollars. Stockholders will meet on March 28 to approve. Existing holders have first option to buy new stock, others may buy if declined. Par remains 100 dollars with about 50 dollars premium to balance surplus. Bank aims for strongest capital in the county with surplus near 125000 dollars. Coal investors and developers show interest in the project.

Miner Fatally Injured in Mine Accident near Homer City
Jamox Shadle, 30, a miner at Yearing Run mines near Homer City, was fatally injured Wednesday while extracting a top from coal. He died that night at 10 o clock. Survived by father Charles Shadle, ten brothers, four sisters. six brothers also worked in the same mines. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.

Two Blairsville Men Die in Separate Railroad Accidents
Kelly, a 24 year old freight brakeman, slipped between cars during departure from Blairsville and died two hours later from crushed limbs and injuries. William G. Skinner of Blairsville was killed in Derry yards when a shifting engine ran over him after catching his foot in a frog. Skinner, a Toby maker at Rugg Cigar Factory, was sent home for interment. Attorney D B Taylor of town was in Altoona on business.

Edward Weaver Dead Third Victim in Glassport Tragedy
Edward Weaver a former Blairsville resident died Sunday night in Glassport after being found unconscious in the same home as the Cummins couple who perished last week. Funeral services were held in Glassport Monday and the remains sent to Blairsville for interment. Arthur Carter son of the late James B. Carter and former resident here was killed in a railroad accident at Williamsburg Illinois last Friday. He is survived by brothers David and John Carter of the area.
