Auto Dealer Code on Solid Basis in Indiana Territory

Frank Kring of the Indiana Motor Co and John M Miller of Sutton Miller Co promote a dealer code for fair competition in motor vehicle retailing. The code sets standardized used car allowances, requires deductions for reconditioning, and imposes fines for overstepping limits. It argues benefits to dealers and public safety, notes factory cooperation, and predicts higher 1934 tax revenue driven by larger pay rolls and profits sharing. The piece also cites Pennsylvania’s vehicle inspection campaigns and financial responsibility law as supportive. A Russian wheat harvest figure is mentioned at the end.
