Last Saturday the Altmeyer Theater in McKeesport burned, trapping McKeesport Herald foreman G M Barton on the sixth floor. Reporters escaped via rope from the third story as stairs became impassable. Mabel Isa Brownlee daughter of vy J Day Brownlee pastor of the First United Presbyterian church died in University hospital Philadelphia at about 6 o clock Monday evening after a 16 month battle with leucocythemia. She was born October 15 1869 and educated at Indiana Normal school. A devoted church and social figure she taught for years and was active in Sabbath school work.
