Community Mausoleum Shines at Greenwood Cemetery
Greenwood Cemetery Association owns a monumental mausoleum built in nine months of North Carolina granite and Vermont marble. It seats 103 bodies in reinforced concrete crypts, with hermetic seals, bronze fittings, cathedral glass, and endowment funds to sustain maintenance under the association. Four crypts are occupied as demand grows for aboveground burial options. The project, designed by a noted mortuary artist and erected for American Mausoleum Company, is now under cemetery trustees. Savings & Trust Christmas Club enrollment announced.
