The dead Croatian man Démitar Spenasko was found near the B. R. & P. tunnel north of town with a bullet wound in the back and a severed bullet lodged in the intestines. A $63 sewn inside the vest and a $200 bank book tied to a Steelton bank point to robbery. Coroner and undertaker examined the body as county and Indian authorities notified.

The criminal court adjourned last Monday and four cases were heard this week. John Hardheck was found guilty of assault and battery and ordered to pay costs and twenty dollars. Commonwealth vs Vincent Burgess ended with a not guilty verdict. A case over taking a female child for marriage saw a not guilty verdict, with the defendant ordered to pay one third costs. Max Shidaga charged with false pretense was found not guilty but to pay costs.
