Spangler hospital treated Clair Sebring Jr for appendicitis after Saturday evening admission. Charles Sheen and Alice Stiffler of Altoona spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs Jay Stiffler.
Bernard Kirsch of Nicktown acted as town caller on Monday. Joseph Hulina and wife plan several months in Jugo Slavia to visit relatives. Cavanaugh family from Nanty Glo spent days at the Andrew Adama home. Evan Williams of Creekside visits his parents in town. Dave Martin serves on the grand jury this week. Amos Cooper of Barnesboro RD visited town Monday. Dunlap visiting relatives in Indiana. Dora Jasento and daughter Ava toured Indiana on Monday. Andy Adams confined to bed with grippe. Will Williams of Grisemore called Wednesday. Frank Shilling traveled to Indiana on business Wednesday. Doyle Joiner traveled to Clymer on Saturday. Alma Vazer and niece Alma Leone visited Johnstown on Saturday. Mr and Mrs C T Smith of Penn Run were town callers Monday.
Plum Creek notes a well attended Student Fair held at Hiderton high school Friday and Saturday nights with a sizable sum raised for the school. Several local families visited and spent time with relatives, including Mr. and Mrs. Bleakney and Mr. and Mrs. Houser, plus Mr. and Mrs. Kimmel, Clark, Miller, and Peterman households. Arthur Gohen secured a job at the Butler post office.
Mrs. Harry Miller hosted the Ladies Missionary Circle at Crooked Creek church for an all day quilting. Mrs. Frank Kirk and children flobert and Bebe visited Luthersburg, with Mr. Kirk returning home after a deer hunting week. Joseph Nastase shot a four point buck near Chambersville Monday morning. Church services next Sunday are at three with Sunday school at two.
Mrs Joe Patterson of near Weat Lebanon spent Monday evening with Mrs F R Hine. Helen Shearer called at Walter Ewing's on Monday afternoon. Mrs Frank Getty of Saltsbury spent Saturday with her mother Mrs 8C Coleman. Mr and Mrs Herbert Lambert welcomed a son born Thanksgiving morning at Allegheny General Hospital. Mrs Lambert recalled as Lois Hine formerly of this place. Mrs Walter Ewing and daughter Annabel were Indiana shoppers on Wednesday. Esther Hine spent the weekend in Johnstown. Arthur Emineck and Miss Eleanor McGinley of Lewisville visited Walter Ewing's Sunday afternoon. Mack Coleman called at C Coleman’s Saturday. Carl and Sara Martha Shearer visiting Ward Fulton in Dickerson Md. Donald Ewing called on Mrs Artie Ewing of Apollo Wednesday afternoon.
