Man Fatally Shot by Sidney Young Man
David Willard a father of four, died after four bullets struck him in the Neal meat market in Sidney. Frank Guthrie, about 21, allegedly shot at Willard after a dispute with Willard’s son, then fired again injuring Willard fatally after reentering the shop. Guthrie fled with his dog and was not yet captured. eye witnesses testified there was no provocation. Willard died Sunday morning in Punxsutawney hospital from internal hemorrhages. Funeral services were held and interment was in Burnside cemetery.
