Woman Attempts Suicide With Poison After Domestic Disputes
Alice Holt, living apart from her husband, tried to kill herself by using poison. Sergeant Ward from the State Constabulary intervened, wrestled the bottle away, and treated her with an antidote after she drank a small amount. She recovered at home the same evening. Ward burned his hands while saving the bottle.

Lightning struck a barn near North Point owned by 4 and Clara Stear, causing $1,400 in damage. A cow perished, James Neal was badly shocked, horses and machinery survived, and $650 of the loss was insured with Thompson agency.
