Arson Charge Against Richmond Man Not Sustained
A charge of arson against John Martin of Richmond, filed by his step-daughter Bessie Sutton, was not sustained at a hearing before Squire J A Cropaman. Sutton alleged Martin set fire to and burned his large barn on February 26. Martin was held for court on breach of the peace and required to post bond to keep the peace for a year.

Boy Pleads Guilty to Two Robberies
John Taylor of town pleaded guilty on Monday to robbing the Indiana Cigar Store on June 16, 1910, of pipes valued at $50, and the A. J. Kelly store at ClyTier on December 26, 1910, of $26. The court urged reform and gave him a chance at the Industrial Reformatory, Huntington. Maptista Serra pleaded guilty to seeing Hauer at Heilwood and was fined $400, plus costs, and three months in the Workhouse. Moses Jones, acting as his own attorney, represented himself in a land sale case near Blacklick.

Child Fatally Scalded on Porch After Scrubbed Wash

He fell into a puddle of scalding liquid and died a week later despite medical aid. The incident occurred while Mrs Gray fetched cold water and the boy had been playing outside.
