Two Shantytown Men Die in York Burnout
Two residents of Shantytown near York were burned to death in a morning fire that destroyed their wooden shacks. Victims were Mike Magus aged 58 and James Butler aged 60. In Bradford on June 27 Peerless Steve Crothers of Philadelphia won the Pennsylvania Clay Pigeons Shooting Championship at the 47th annual State trapshoot. He fired 198 of 200 after a solid run of 100 straight and only one miss in the first 50. Mrs. Fred Hess of Philadelphia took the women's title with 177.
