Babich Receives Life Term In Milwaukee Murder Trial
Nineteen year old Milton Babich was sentenced to life at hard labor in Wisconsin State Prison at Waupun for first degree murder of his wife's sister. His wife Kathleen shouted lies as the verdict was read and broke into tears. Babich asserted his innocence. The judge imposed the life sentence with parole eligibility after 11 years and three months or time off for good behavior after 20 years. Kathleen, pregnant, was comforted by relatives. Babich was taken to prison later that night.

Find Dead Infant Near Josephine
A premature infant's body was found by a group of boys near Josephine on Saturday. It was taken to Indiana Hospital where officials pronounced it dead. Coroner Dr. Edward L. Fleming reported no evidence of foul play. Also noted, Lee Watcott and Charles fought over television at Moore Hotel on Wednesday night.

China Plane Rakes Ship With Gunfire
Suanghai June 21. Chinese Nationalist planes damaged the British freighter Anchises injuring four crewmen. The raid also hit a Shell Oil Company warehouse, destroying 20 000 tons of kerosene and other petroleum products. The Anchises was beached after a bomb strike and a second attack. A Nationalist blockade to begin June 26 was announced, targeting Communist ports from Foochow south to Manchuria. Captain J E Watson said the attack aimed at the Anchises and the British flag was visible.
