Driver Held In Marsh Death On Highway
A coroner's jury charged Donald Eicher with involuntary manslaughter and drunken driving after the death of Arthur Marsh near Blairsville. Marsh, 28, was struck while walking along the William Penn Highway near Penn View Summit at 12:10 a.m. He died from a base of skull fracture after being carried 1,528 feet by the truck driven by Eicher. Companion Carmen Gismondi, 24, was released after the inquest. both had been arrested by the Indiana state patrol and found intoxicated. Eicher remains jailed on $1,000 bond pending preliminary hearing.
