Prison terms for Blairsville burglary pair
George Clark age 30 of Swissvale and his nephew Richard Weimer age 21 of Cokeville pled guilty to the Blairsville home burglary of Mrs. Katherine Kohl on May 28. Free Mother Convicted Wife Evades Conviction in Fatal Shooting
UNIONTOWN June C A mother failed to take blame for a fatal shooting yesterday and her daughter who claimed she fired the shot was convicted of involuntary manslaughter. The mother was freed and sent to the State Industrial School at Muncy for an indeterminate sentence. The husband, John A Brooks, 25, was killed in the home of his mother in law Mrs Minnie Wroe. Mrs Wroe said she fired the shot during a quarrel. She pleaded not guilty, but the plea was ordered. The jury acquitted her. The Brooks wife Mrs Mima Brooks, 20, was charged with killing her husband.
