The Kovalchick Industries of Indiana and Sykesville purchased the Toronto Ohio plant and equipment of Follensbee Steel for about 430 000 to 450 000 dollars. The plant, idle since the steel strike, employs around 400 workers and sits in a town of about 9 000. No definite plans were announced pending a program for the property. GW Musser of Indiana was the attorney for the Kovalchick interests.

Uranium ore, used for making atomic bombs, has been found in upper Michigan. Jones & Laughlin Ore Co with Atomic Energy Commission approval announced the discovery, first reported in Michigan. Deposited size is undetermined and mining viability is unknown. Eiler Frendrickson, a University of Minnesota graduate student, located the ore last August along the Huron River in Baraga County while prospecting with a Geiger counter. Green light collision at city intersection injures none
Two vehicles collided yesterday at the Philadelphia and Fourth streets intersection.
